You start with the head! You see the base of the mouth, the lower jaw, and the back of the head. Where do the eyes go? Where do the eyes go? Then you look from the nose to the chin and, from the chin to the ears. So, where can the eyes go? From where is the neck? Is it from the front neck to the middle? Where could the spine go?”
The result of all this research was an incredible, beautiful, and surprising drawing of a giraffe, created from the head to the legs and back to the hips. The drawing has been in print since 1985. It has been shown at several conferences throughout the world, at least three times in a row.
After more than four decades of doing the drawing that we’ve now called Lucy, we could only come to the conclusion that it was a mistake. This drawing is, indeed, beautiful. It is breathtakingly accurate. It will change the way you see animals in all sorts of situations and all sorts of situations that we as a species have encountered. So, if you don’t like the drawing, you may wish to look elsewhere for alternatives.

“It’s a bad deal for consumers,” said Tim DeRuyter, head of energy and petroleum analysis at the Pembina Institute, based in Calgary. “If the government wants to lower their costs, they need to be able to reduce the number of people who need these subsidies.”

“There’s really a huge problem with the way that these projects are conducted, and that they don’t pay for themselves,” he said.
For example, DeRuyter said, there’s no accounting for the costs of drilling at the same time as mining projects are complete.
“If mining is complete, the benefits of these projects to the taxpayers are far greater than they are to the oil and other resource companies,” said DeRuyter. “But these kinds of projects don’t get done,
