E, F, and Ab are used in Rock n Roll, Country, and Blues songs with many variations. In Metal these chords are known as Dm7 chords.

F and G are used in some Metal songs that have an aggressive sound when put in a particular key. These chords are called Dm7 chords.

G is a very common chord that is found in songs that can go a long way to an overall theme. The chords F and Ab are both used in some genres of Metal.
