While a few were released in the past few years, only the most recent, “Chandelier” by the pop group Girls’ Generation, sold the most $$$.

According to the US Census Bureau, which tracks data on the average cost of music videos, the most expensive music video was “Somewhere I’d Rather Go” by Rihanna, which was released in 2013. It has earned 6.1 billion, while the most expensive music video of 2014 was Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” with 5.3 billion.

While a couple songs with a similar budget may have the most fans, “Panda” by Bruno Mars and “We Found Love” by Bruno Mars (both, 2015), were the most downloaded music videos of the year. It has been downloaded 623 million times.
