This post is inspired by a great question I saw on Reddit this morning about how to learn how to draw. It was a few people, ranging from art students to seasoned painters. While this is not an exhaustive answer, I thought I’d share what I did in order to gain some knowledge and make a more informed drawing. For those that want to use this as a reference for practicing drawing, I’ll try to provide some useful pointers.
I’ve written extensively about how to draw in the past and found my approach to be fairly similar to many other professionals. I tried very hard to avoid the use of cheap Photoshop software and the techniques I’ve been using over the years. These are just common methods and don’t have any inherent limitations! You would have to do a LOT more experimenting if you want to learn all of the elements in order to know everything about it. I know I’m not alone: I’m not alone! I’ve been a pretty hardcore gamer since I was in the sixth grade. I’m going through some of the same things myself and it’s frustrating. I’ve never been much of a gamer myself, although I did play a bit online when I was younger. I have a lot of friends who play video games. A lot. They’re really good at them. And now, they’re gamers. I think they’ll always be gamers, but that doesn’t change the fact that games are not the best, most satisfying type of entertainment. The idea that some days are better for gaming than others is not true at all.
