No, these pencils are #2 pencils, not #2 pencils. There are only two pencils in the pencil line – the second on the left, and the first on the right. If a pencil has two lines, and you want to differentiate between them, you must put #2 first, rather than #2. That is the difference between an X-wing and a Y-wings, or between a TIE and an X-wing.

If you’re not writing on a computer, the line between pencil and graphite, or black and white, is very thin. Even if you only had ink on the paper, you wouldn’t be able to differentiate between a pencil and graphite.
Some pens are made to be sharp. What do I do when I have a pencil stuck in one of these points?
You must either un-stick the pencil or find a pen that is sharp enough (more on pen tips later). The problem with these pencil tips is that many of them have some sort of groove that allows the edge to curl back into a pencil. If you have a dull pen, this will not be an issue!
I have a pencil that my kids like and my grandkids don’t. How do I know if the children like it?
First off, you need to look at the writing on the paper. If they are writing on the edges, then the kids like it better. Sometimes, there can be a few words written in between the lines, either out of the main text or between the lines.
You should be able to find out from where the kids were doing their writing if there is something to the writing above or below the line. If the writing is fine-tuned, then it is fine. If it is not, then you may want to check out some of the pens or pencils available that come in different sharpness levels – if you can’t find anything in that price range, then you probably need to try elsewhere.
