It takes a couple days, but you only need to get an idea of what you like and don’t like. The process isn’t that hard, but it’s tough.
So you look at a few different websites and try them out for a while. How have you gotten better at it?
I learned swing trading from the online courses I was taking. The way they teach you are different from the books and it’s all based on the trade – in this case, buy and sell a single stock at a given time. So it’s like a whole new world every day to learn.
How does the training take place, and who do you ask to teach it?
I try to get to know the experts, to make sure I meet them at first hand. There are a few people that I think can be helpful, but the ones I really really like are people like Joe Meyerson or Michael Lewis. And they are always open to talk to me – sometimes, I’m the expert as well.
You have three or four books you’ve published on the subject of how to trade, are those titles you were hoping would be of use for beginners, or will more advanced traders be drawn to your books for their own reasons?
They are all available. I’ve spent a lot of time researching them, working with my research staff. I’ve read the reviews and they’re pretty awesome – people love it. My next book is called ‘How to Build a Net Profit’ and the book will talk about what I learned from this and a few other subjects that I had experience with. I want to be able to take this knowledge across as a trade manager in the future.
