There are five major sins and all of them have three essential components. They are:
Kufr
Sins are the result of a person’s (unwilling) obedience to God.
Sins can be classified into five main types:
Wrongful Acts
Manslaughter (killing, mutilation, or destroying of a person), including in Jihad
Murder (killing)
Hate Speech
Cruelty to animals
Murder in War and in other Wars against People

The other main sins for Muslims are:
Majus (Temptation)
Muktamur (Desperation), or “Descent into Death”
Kashf (Envy)
Makruh (Wrath)
Wahabb (Envy)
All these are sins because they are not only contrary to God’s commands and prohibitions but are also based on human desires and instincts and therefore they are not accepted in most Islamic interpretations of the Islamic holy texts such as the Quran, the Hadith, and the Sunna (the sayings of the Prophet Mohamed). What does the word “kafir” mean in Islam?
In Islam, the term kafir (a derogatory term, which means one who is an unbeliever) means someone who does not accept or belong to a religion because it is not the religion of one of the Messenger of God’s (PBUH) fellow Messengers. One of those other Messengers being Muhammad (peace be upon him). One of those non-Arab Messengers being the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). One of the non-Muslim Messengers being a Companion of a Prophet. A non-Muslim living in the Arabian Peninsula at the time of the rise of Islam when the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the last (or one of the last) Messenger of God.
