Police in Cincinnati are investigating their relationship with the Black Lives Matter movement, after the protesters called for violence at the National Mall on Martin Luther King day.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reported that the University of Cincinnati Police Department met on Thursday with the Black Lives Matter group in order to address some “concerns.”
But those “concerns” were apparently directed at a number of the group’s goals.
The Enquirer adds that the groups stated that they should stop taking the National Mall and “turn their attention to other priorities on campus,” in addition to stating they planned to “expose white supremacy at the heart of higher education.”
According to a Facebook page associated with the group, an event on “Marching for Justice Against Police Brutality on the National Mall” is scheduled for July 18. More than 1,000 people have RSVP’d to the event, which has been cancelled.
On Wednesday, a panel at Comic-Con International in San Diego was filled with a mix of industry professionals and fans of the HBO drama. They were asked to come up with a new word to describe the show and a few of the answers were surprising.
When asked if they thought there would be a sixth season, executive producer Michael Lombardo said, “I do.”
That came as a surprise to the other panelists, and many fans. At one point, creator David Benioff spoke of how it was a hard decision to make to end the show:
“We were just at this place in the last season, where there was really, like, four more episodes left after we wrapped up all of the really bad stuff that was happening in the books. And we realized, if we keep doing these books and not really do a whole different show, we’re kind of wasting our time doing the books and doing
